Small Arms School Corps (SASC)
Former WO1(GSM) Peter Padley MBE
It was in 1919 that it was retitled The Small Arms School and in 1929 was granted the title of The Small Arms School Corps. The Small Arms School Corps is one of the smallest Corps in the Army with responsibility for the high standards required in the use of small arms and support weapons.

The Corps also has responsibility for training military personnel in all levels of range management. It is not possible to join the SASC from civilian life. Only soldiers already serving in the Regiments and Corps, primarily the Infantry, of the British Army may apply to join The Corps.
Members of The Corps hold the minimum rank of Sergeant.
