If you want tips on enlistment it is all here except this

1 How to use a washing machine and tumble dryer
2 How to press and iron a uniform and your civvies
3 How to use a vacuum cleaner - broom - mop and bucket
4 Basic cooking
5 How to clean boots
6 How to make a bed and put a duvet cover on or sheets and blankets
7 How to wash and dry dishes -plates etc.
8 How to prepare vegetables
9 How to make decent tea and coffee
10 Also important is TIDINESS at all times
THE REASONS FOR THE ABOVE IS MUM IS NOT GOING WITH YOU TO CLEAR UP AND DO YOUR WASHING ETC.

With the exception of pressing (Which I admit I Cant do, can Iron though) everyone should know how to do these anyway.
Cant make vegetables without a steamer either, but I make a mean cheese omelette lol.
AS for boot cleaning mums BF is former logistics, says he will teach me how to and some of the hints/tips to "the way of the boot cleaning" before I start phase 1.
Mops not very hard either, go in an 8 motion is the way I do it lol.
Anyone who cant do at least 7-8 of these really has not learned to live for themselves.
I was also told to learn stitching/sowing, might be handy apparently.
Having never been there I don't know how it works but you are in a team anyway, there will be things I am not so good at and there will be things others may not be so good at, just got to give each other a hand and help each other get better at it, right?
