can i rejoin the ta after being out of the full time army for 9 years? how do i go about joining a specific role ie like the trade i had whilst in the regulars?

Yes you certainly can - you'll have a medical before you join up just to check your lungs are fine. If you feel you can run the BFT in under 12 mins you should be fine. Nevertheless, everyone should always work on their fitness.
