HM Armed Forces Veterans Badge

HM Armed Forces Veterans’ Badge is available to all former Armed Forces personnel – Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army and Royal Air Force.
It was launched in May 2004 by the Minister for Veterans, to raise the profile of veterans. All veterans are eligible to apply. The badge is an enamelled, engraved, and pinned, lapel badge featuring the words “HM Armed Forces – Veteran”, which encompass the Tri-Service, Anchor, Crossed Swords and Eagle motif.
However for any veterans who served in Armed Forces of other Countries or those who served alongside HM Armed Forces are not eligible (e.g. any Commonwealth forces, Canadian Navy etc).

Wear mine with pride on my uniform tie (Civil Aviation), had it about 2 years, good as new.

Had the same problem as nickmessenger its fallen apart after only 2 mths, and it can't be repaired, very disappointed as I was extremely proud to wear it

Sounds like Nickmessinger was a bit unlucky. Mine is fine, had it 12 months now and it still looking new.

It was nice to receive my veteran's badge and I wore it with pride - until it fell apart! The pin appears to have been attached with a tiny blob of solder. Defence cutbacks or a problem with quality control? !
