SAS (Special Air Service) and SBS (Special Boat Service)
Out of Site - Out of Mind - spot the soldier
HMForces.co.uk
Each of the Armed Services has their own special forces, or elite forces, but there is often overlap between the services to allow specialist skills such as diving, flying or communications to be used. They are small, highly trained units that operate both behind battle lines and in places where battle lines do not formally exist, where enemies are hidden amongst friends.
They include:
The Special Air Service (SAS) Regiment
The Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR)
The Special Forces Support Group (SFSG)
The Special Boat Service (SBS)
