- About Me
- I come from a military background, my Father served in the Royal Navy during WWII as a small arms articifer in the fleet air arm,and my grandfather served in both WWI and WWII being killed by friendly fire on the 1st of July 1944. I served as an army cadet at boarding school, achieving the spurious rank of corporal then acting sergeant, after leaving school I wanted to join the army, but bad hearing meant that only a territorial career was available, this I did for almost four years, then transferred to the regs, until I was caught in a routine physical, and discharged. My Father eventually served a total of six years in the Royal Navy '39-'45, and then twentyseven and a half years the Army. Enough of the family history.... I have a deep and abiding respect for our armed forces, and their history. I am now retired and putting all my skills together to make a living that is without stresses and strains of a higher authority breathing down my neck, something you folks in the forces have to deal with everyday.
