Want to Write for HMForces.co.uk?

Tell your Anecdotes of days gone by

HMForces Staff

January 12, 2009

Interested in writing for HMforces? Got a hidden talent? Or do you want to share your Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine experiences?

It doesn’t matter on your background or number of years in service, irrespective of Regiment of Trade, of when you demobilised or quit the Forces, all your experiences are utterly relevant to HMForces.co.uk

If you are thinking of joining the British Forces you might want to consider writing a Blog of your basic training experiences and second phase trade training for others to read and reflect on. Importantly, if you are already serving abroad on operational duty perhaps you want to share some of the things you get up to on a daily basis?

Naturally, Personal and Operational security take precedence in these circumstances and HMForces.co.uk would always put the blogger’s safety first.

However, we are looking for people to write:

• Equipment and/or clothing Reviews

• Employer Reviews

• Stories and Anecdotes from your Military Service

• How-To-Guides

• Career Advice and Resettlement Experiences

• Basic Training Experiences

• Military and Current Affairs Blogs

• The production of your original Videos that you can film and publish at HMForces.co.uk

Own your own training company? Have a blog? We’ll promote you, your work, and any products you might have in exchange for your written work.

Send your contact information and content idea to info@HMForces.co.uk.

I think that this country was founded on its military prowess many centuries ago. Any ex-serviceman will know the benefits of the discipline instilled throughout his/her career and to follow a figurehead such as our Royals has given us purpose, honour & self respect.
Problems arise when areas are devalued due to an inherant wish to 'make life better' for our children when in fact they are made worse. Children born in military families are less likely to offend and show a marked difference in their level of respect for others, and an ability to grasp a solution for problem, rather than run and hide from it.
I say this because I am 49 years old, former soldier and devout Royalist with a keen interest in history. I can see how, from my own childhood till now, how society has eroded, in that I mean the powers of the Police, Teachers, Parents etc, and the power of the child increased to the degree that they can legally 'do what they like' and then get away with it.
Who doesn't want things better? But, in tolerance there's abuse and unfortunately, too much of it and too many escaping detection!
To write about military is to agree with its discipline and the will to 'spread the word' to all who'll listen. WE KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT!

I think it's a great idea, espeacially from present and ex service personnel, after all, how many times have we all been asked 'pull up a sandbag'.
