Being a wannabe, interested in joining 501 Aux at Brize Norton. interested in every aspect of the Rock Ape roll


(FORCE PROTECTION) sounds good to me !....


Any tips for Myself & other new boys on this site.


With regards to handy fieldcraft tips from you serving or ret boys out there

Any general tips mate, things that you have found usful to what sort of things you have found handy to have that you have purchased yourself to general fieldcraft tips. for me & other on-lookers.


Starting fitness training this week. I have got about 1.5 stone to loose & I havent done any sort of fitness training for a long time.


Starting to write up CV & applying to 501 Aux squadron at Brize Norton!


Maybe a bit early to be asking fieldcraft tips mate. but the more im clued up the better I think

You'll learn everything you need to know in training mate, they won't appreciate it if you start pulling random stuff out and trying that. You pick up all you need to know along the way.


If you want the best fielcraft tip you can ever have, look, listen and tred softly.


Never give up, never quit, if you havent bled you haven't earnt it.

why?...use "The Soldier's Pocket Book" dont they do an Airmans one....? 


what lessons do you want, ? and to what level....


and what area of Fieldcraft are you after? its not all about angry camping you know.....


feel free to PM me and i will see what i can do....


 


"FORCE PROTECTION" means you stag on a whole lot and do short range patrols (still not a safe job).....thus the rocks get called the SRDG by the Army...as in the Short Range Desert Group.....

The Soldier's Pocket Book is the only book i could find its got loads of good stuff in it and everyone follows the army in feildcraft training


no books out ther for the RAF
