| Posted about 1 year ago I´m not sure about the RMs but in the Army it used to be that your adult service would be recognised from your 18th birthday.

Where did you get that from? Not for 45 Commando it's not. Haza you're too young anyway. You've gotta be 18. The only preference I have is swatting Muslim extremists... |

| Posted about 1 year ago You're old enough to join up, check this link: http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/royalmarines/careers/your-questions-answered/ask-us/search-results/how-old-must-i-be-to/*/changeNav/7137 I don't know if the Marines follow Naval Procedure, but in the R.N., "Mans" service used to start at 17 years 6 months. | Posted about 1 year ago haza, yeah you are old enough however your time served starts from 18 and you wont be able to go on operations until then also. 2 year waiting list also sound correct from what I hear (that includes all units, as the waiting list is for training which for all takes place at CTCRM then you will be drafted to a unit), although if you are in the top on your PRMC you will stand a better chance of speeding up your entry. | Posted about 1 year ago If your 16th as you said your mum "screwing about it" May sound daft but atm All Armed Forces are not really doing Big Recruitment until October as they a big review on atm. Main question to ask yourself is: Why do I want to Join up? , What do I want to do? , What would I enjoy the most in the Royal Marines (RM) If you can answer them and give good reasons they you may well be ready, I would really say to wait off until your 17 a least and gives you time to Look more into different jobs or going to college. You could stay on at School and get extra Grades, Go to College, Go to Work till your 17 and then you could look again and see if you still want join Armed Forces then if you done that I sure your Mum will sign your wavier for you. Just remember You always be your mums little boy.
I hope you all best and if you want PM me I more than happy to give some support. |
