Posted about 1 year ago So I've been posted to a field squadron who go OOA quite regularly and do a lot of battlefield PT. I cant stand my issue boots, way too hot, stiff and heavy. I'm looking at buynig a new pair of boots and fancy something light, cool and a lot of coushing as I have problems with my shins. Has anyone got any recomendations on a good make or specific pair I could take a look at? Any advice welcome but experience is prefered as opposed to "I heard from a mate of a mate these are good"! Never give up, never quit, if you havent bled you haven't earnt it. |

| Posted about 1 year ago hey whitey, i have used lowa's and also albergs but i do perfer the lowa boots over any others i have tryed... i have probleams with the movement in my ankle's and knee's due to past injurys in the infanty with the lowa's you have the comfort and coushening you are looking for and with you saying you have a problem with your shin's the laceing on the lowa's are alot lower then your issued combat high's so it reduces pressure on your lower legs and they are reasonable light there is lighter boots out there but i have not tryed them yet lol hope this help's !!! tom yorkshire born yorkshire breed strong in arms thick in the head once a howards always a green howard 'Fortune Favours the Brave' |

| Posted about 1 year ago I would say Magnum and not the ice cream Magnums have been used for years by the Police and I now think the Army are allowing them to be approved as Kit. Unsure about rest of forces. You all know what allowed and what not. Yes Nike Trainers are not allowed when on duty or with Uniform on. |

Have you worked in Magnums Chico? Can you suggest a good pair keeping in mind I get shin problems and want something light and cool? I'm a little confused why you mentioned about Nike Trainers? Sports trainers may be worn with uniform for medical reasons based on docs orders, but thats slightly off topic. Never give up, never quit, if you havent bled you haven't earnt it. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Whitey14uk: Your correct if the Medical team give you orders of "Try wear trainers as it help with recovery" But I am talking about when some the Army Squaddies are wearing Nike Trainers as there day - day just like being down civvy street which they do look yuck with Combats on, I work for MoD civvy side and I not even allowed to wear trainers but that just due to Health and Safety Reasons.
Now down to your question; I wear Magnums boot while doing un paid work and I wear Magnum Stealth Force 8" CT/CP Boot for duties which they are a FAB pair to wear and I like them as I can have maybe a 4 hour shift where I do not get to sit down. But I know last year the MoD and NATO approved the Magnum Scorpion Black and the Desert. If You want to PM me more info such as What your main use for them are, For day-day, For ops, For Special days or just for show and I be able to help you more, I know a few things about Boots and even ways the MoD can help you or pay for them.
