hi i was wondering if u could be a pilot in the navy if u have suffered from asthma before, i am 17 now and i stopped using an inhaler 8 years ago.

Hi DPH and welcome.


The rule of thumb for asthma sufferers in the Forces is that you have to have stopped using your inhaler for 4 years. The Navy website doesnt say anything different but there may be special criteria for aircrew. I suggest you ask at your local RN Careers Office as they will be able to give you a definite answer!
