I could really use some help, I'm 15  (16 In 2 weeks) And have thought of joining the armed forces, On my profile It says something about me being interested in the army, But that's why I'm asking for help, I have no idea what I want to do..

Well okay that's not true, I've narrowed it down to something about the british armed forces or a UFC Cage fighter, And that's just at the moment..

Either way I'm quite interested in joining the armed forces when I'm older and reader etc. But I'm not sure what's right for me

So long story short, Could really use some help narrowing down the options

Thanks P:

The Forces isnt a 9 till 5 job, its a hard and dangerous but rewarding career. I´m afraid "quite interested" isnt good enough, you have to want it! The selection process these days is extremely hard, the Forces have the opportunity to pick and choose ONLY the best and if you dont want it badly enough they will weed you out!

Saying that, you need to do some serious research into what suits you best in which job and which Service. I suggest you look at the Services websites and try to narrow it down yourself.

May I say,   You ever thought of Joining the Civvy side of Armed Forces,   This side you can get a very good in sight without having to sign for 4years or 9years.

The Civvy side could be working at Naffia (Spar/Tesco sort stuff) or working direct for MoD which is a very important role as Every role within MoD helps the armed Forces.   Also I recently found out Having what I know I can make a better idea of what you want to do within Armed Forces.

Have you also thought about "Army College"  there link here http://www.armyjobs.mod.uk/army-colleges/Pages/default.aspx    Which always an good way into the Army as they a "guaranteed" job at end of it.

Again you need get your Carrer/Parent to sign the waiver also your not be able go to War until your 18.

Hope that helps,  I recently made similar mind up and I visited all the Armed Forces and I chatted to people on HMForces.co.uk which help loads!!

Good Luck be great to hear back on what you want to do,  and even if it not joining the Armed Forces
