Posted about 1 year ago well see muppets are at it agine whith the cuts to the forces. the army to be cut by 15ooo the navy to lose up to 3 assult ships and 2000 jobs the air force to lose the tornado and nimrods what are we going to have left by the time they have done cutting back not a lot i think. |

| Posted about 1 year ago We aren't loosing Tornadoe's and Nimrods, the Tornado is being replaced by the Eurofighter and the Nimrod is being replaced by the Sentinel R1. The Harrier will be going by 2014 to be replaced by the JSF as well, this isn't cuts, this is just replacing dated kit. What positions in the Army and Navy are going? Isnt the Navy getting a few new destroyers as well to replace the current ageing ones?

| Posted about 1 year ago Did the Navy not commision some new fleet a couple months ago to be built? Which I sure there was Assult Ship to be included. (BBC News Source) I also heard the RAF could be at it smallest amount staff since the WW2. But again the whole government departments don't know until October, So all the Government Departments are Getting Ready for Cuts. Again in October it could be told: Army needs to recruit xxx thousand recruits, RAF need recruit xx Thousand Recruits and Navy needs x Thousand Recruits, Also be told that You know have billions £s to spend and etc, Or Worse be Army, RAF, Navy you need get rid of xxx amount staff. Which makes it really bad for people like me trying to make a step on the ladder so to speak. |

| Posted about 1 year ago just a reply to the above yes whitey the tornado is to be replaced buy it was to be over the next 5 to 8 years.cuting tornado now leaves them free to close bases now.has what has been put forwad the r.a.r will lose 295 aircraft which will leave us whith under 200 fighters.olso the 22 chinooks that were ordered by the last goverment are not guaranteed . the navey cuts are what is on the news site so just click on and ther to be seen . |
